In recent years, there’s been quite a lot of social pressure to achieve more gender equality in the tech sector so it seems that the IT industry is no longer going to be a sector only led by men. However, reality not always fits theory and although we have begun to see how women study more technology-related degrees, very few of them end up with the opportunity to occupy high-level positions in businesses.

Based on her own experience, Danae Vara will explain how she overcame all challenges in her way to fulfill her professional dream career and become a co-founder of a promising start-up in the insurtech sector.

This talk will inspire woman not only to take part in the IT industry but also to search within themselves in order to trace their own paths for their careers.

solutions with a customer-centric point of view. She’s worked in various industries, ranging from video games to business
tech, from B2C apps to B2B SaaS solutions and a lot in between. She is an active member of several organizations and
groups promoting women in tech and entrepreneurship and is an official member of the Forbes Tech Council.
